-Erica and Denis are ENGAGED! woo hoo! Scott and I went ring shopping with Denis, we were there for moral support. If you see Erica, be sure to ask to see her pretty ring.
-I have already had 2 bridal showers! Wow I never thought I would be one to have this many showers, but apparently people love me. haha. Thanks for throwing me the shower this past weekend Mic and Amanda! The games were really fun.. I'll post some of the better pictures that we took when I get them on the computer.
-Scott and I are house searching in St. Marys. We finally decided that it would be better to live in town so we so far have a list of 3 houses that we plan to scope out tonight. Plus they are cheaper then the house out in the country.
-My legs are battered and bruised because I fall while going up stairs way too much, because mosquitoes are attracted to me and baseballs are as well.
-Invitations are going out soon! Wahoo!
-2 months and 7 days until the big day!

I can't believe it's Thursday already! I love short work weeks! Over the weekend I went to Allison's fiances cottage (Matt) in Kearny. Thanks Allison for letting me come and Laura for driving! It was fun, we did lots and lots of swimming. But I came back with too many misquito bites! Last night I went to see the Blue Jays play the Yankees. It was a really good game because the Jays won!! Also the guy sitting behind Jenn's dad caught a foul ball. Sadly I had to miss my slow pitch game to go to Toronto, but oh well I still have a few more weeks of those games.
Wedding plans are moving right along. We are working on decorations.. moms making the runners and she painted our monogram onto a large white board that looks really good! I really need to start working on things but I've just been so busy! This weekend I'm planning on getting lots done. My dress has become a group project. Oma invited 2 of her friends over today to sew sequins onto it. and Mom has been a few times, also Lauren and I went once to help. I'm excited for when the lace is done and I can see what it looks like on the dress. Things are moving along! 79 days!

Happy Belated Birthday to me. I'm now 22!
I picked up my wedding ring last night and I love it. I kept taking it out and looking at it, because I am a DORK.

This weekend Laura and I head to Allison's fiance's cottage near Huntsville. It is going to be my first weekend doing something exciting this summer. I lead a boring life. The boys left to go to Tremblant for Scott's bachelor party weekend. I hope they have fun, but not too much fun!

I did my good deed for the day. The neighbour that lives in the unit next to my office broke his leg and I helped him carry his groceries in. It was awkward because I didn't want to go inside his place so I left the groceries outside the door. I don't know why but it just felt like it would be weird going in. He broke his leg falling from a tree, it seems funny because thats something that would happen to a little kid. that must be hot though, just like Laura last summer!

I'm leaving work early today, probably in 15 min so I can pack for the cottage!

Wedding Rings -DONE!

Scott and I bought our wedding rings today! We got them from the same store and I'm so excited to have this done. Scott's fit perfectly so he got to bring it home and mine is being resized. I looked online and found a picture similar to what mine looks like.. It looks nothing like the ones I posted on here earlier.. tricked you all! It sits really low below my ring and looks very pretty. Plus we got both our rings for 20% off, can't beat that!

And mom made a mock-up of what the centerpiece the wheat sheaf will look like. It turned out so nice! We are unsure as to what we are going to tie it with. here we just wrapped a ribbon around. but I kinda wanted it tied with a bow.

Since I left you wishing and hoping to see our engagment pictures after my last post, here they are! I really love them.. what do you think? Sorry they kinda went weird when I sized them down.

I'm a farmer

It is official.. Scott and I now own a barn. A home for 800 pigs to grow and then be sent off to market. And 67 acres. The farm is North-West of St.Marys, near Ranoch. Down the road from Science hill golf course. The barn is new, built in 1996 and the driveway is lined with trees. The downfall of the property is that there is no house. So we will need to find a rental home for a few years and then we will possibly build a house there!

That is the extent of that exciting news.. Otherthen that we are no further along with honeymoon plans or with ring shopping. We did however get our engagment pictures back from our photographer in the mail today. They are at home waiting for me to look at them. So far Scott and Mic have both seen them and both liked them. Except for the few we look "deformed" in. Gee thanks Mic!

Wedding talk.. what else?

Today after work Laura and I are going swimming at the quarry... this will be the 3rd day in a row that I'm going swimming there! It sure is nice to have such a nice swimming place on your way home from work. Too bad we have to pay to go there though, we should work on that and find a nice free swimming hole somewhere.

Last night Scott and I went wedding ring shopping. I have 3 ideas of what I like/what looks good with my engagment ring.
1. A plain white gold band

2. A "gypsy" setting diamond wedding band

3. A channel set wedding band (like the one pictured but more rounded)

Which do you like best? I like the gypsy one because it's fun and different but I'm not totally sure.

Tonight we have baseball again... hopefully we play a bit better this time.. like get more then 1 run and maybe keep them down from 7 runs a few more times.. At least we helped the team have enough players last week!

Woo hoo weekend! And I don't even have much planned meaning I can do what I want as the weekend develops! First things first though tomorrow we pick up the bridesmaid dresses! I'm scared but excited to see them.. My scared part is saying what if you hate the colour! And my excited part is just exited to see them!

My life is sad.. I'm trying to write something that does not have to do with the wedding and I can' t think of anything. Wow I'm a loser. You will have to deal with it until October though! Not that anyone reads this though because no one updates theirs and no one ever comments. Am I really that boring?

Last evening I went to marble slab for the first time.. I was so confused over what to do, there were way tooooo many choices. I ended up getting double dark chocolate ice cream with kit kat in it. And all scooped into a vanilla sugar cone. It was pretty good, a bit too much ice cream though I was way full.

We got engagment pictures taken by our photographer last night! I think they will be pretty. We took pictures all over the farm, but I think my faves will be the ones in the wheat field and in the hammock. We get them back in 2 weeks and maybe I'll post a few then..

I'm getting excited! I called Sophies because I was getting sick of waiting for the Bridesmaid dresses to come and they said "They should be here soon" Now who knows exactly what that means but I really want to see the dresses in the right colour! I admit I am also a bit scared because the shade of green that we ordered was not the original green I had in mind but I'm sure I will like them!   Also we ordered the cake! Guess which one we chose of the two that I posted on my last entry?
Honeymoon plans are going slowly. Scott and I went to a travel agent because we are feeling lots. We are pretty sure that we want to go to Costa Rica though, so at least we have that decided!
Mom and I sourced out candy for the favours so that is coming right along too.   Yay Wedding planning

Also Yay is the fact that we have a long weekend coming up!! What to do what to do... I hope to at least one day relax on a beach.. possibly Monday..

It seems I only get around to updating on Fridays. Probably because I hard core experience the "It's Friday LET ME OUT OF HERE" feeling. Working in an office by yourself has its up and its downs.. mostly downs but at least I don't have to pretend to work when I have nothing to do.

Scott and I are getting engagment pictures taken on Sunday by my old work partner- Janice! she want's to get into wedding photography and Scott and I wanted to get some engagment pictures taken. It's a perfect match. We are also getting some taken by our actual wedding photographer later in July. This way we will have lots to choose from and probably a lot of variety.

Scott and I bought a farm- it is still conditional and Scott is working on getting financing.. but it's still pretty exciting. If we get it the deal closes in September. Theres no house which sucks, so we will rent in St.Marys for a bit and then attempt to build a house, depending on the costs. Luckily Scott's dad builds houses so thats a bit of a bonus!

Wedding planning is going well. I'm trying to tackle all the small projects so I don't go crazy later in the summer. This is what I am working on/need to do..
-making up my mind about the cake design and baker
-invite wording
-program design
-favours
-find a hair person and book appointment
-go ring shopping

We planted the pumpkins and they are growing. The dress is coming right along! Invite design has been picked and we are just waiting to see the finalized design I think with correct colours and then we will order the paper. Mom and I have started making lists of everything we need to do for the different events of the day, eg what we need for decorations in the church, what we need for decorations in the reception hall. And we made a list of things to ask at the reception hall. Overall I think that it's pretty relaxing.. hopefully that does not mean I am forgetting something!

I'm a graduate

Dear Friends,

Boy do we ever suck at updating! Who would have thought that summer would come along and we would still be as busy as ever!

Yesterday evening I graduated. I was nervous for the whole ordeal. Luckily I have sisters that attend to my needs and accompanied me as I went to get gowned and hung out with me as I waited to get lined up thinking.. wow I really have no friends.. haha anyways. After seeing around 200 people graduate before my nerves subsided and I was left thinking.. hm will I be able to walk acoss the stage when I need to. After shuffling around the dome I felt that my legs would not work. Much to my luck they continued working, my name was called, I walked across the stage, shook Alister's hand, took a picture, and continued walking.. slowly down the stairs.. No embarassing moments for me! I was not falling down those stairs. And after that the pressure was off. I walked behind the stage, got my diploma, continued walking, got another picture holding a red diploma, was handed a picture taken on the stage and went to sit down. Done, just like that. I was sad that my graduation was at night because I didnt get to take those nice graduation pictures in the sun. Its just not the same taking pictures before because you don't fully experience your happiness.

So with school done what did I do this morning? Went to take a class.. ugh sucks to be me. It wasn't that bad. It was a course to learn how to upload listings to the internet and the teacher didn't show up! But we got a replacement teacher and we all showed eachother to do what we knew, and went from there.   I was nervous to go to work after that because I knew that I had a lot to do since I did not work on Thursday. However I got to work, plugged away and got it all done in no time! So now I procrastinate from.. umm doing nothing?
Tomorrow I drive to Barrie and then Jenn and I are going to a wedding together! It is for her friend from highschool and we met a few times when she came up to Guelph to go out with us. I'm excited to go to a wedding and to get to spend time with Jenn!

First of all congrats to Ms. P and Mr. P for getting engaged!! Can't wait to see you on Sunday at Lynndsays shower!

Tonight I head to Guelph to visit Stef and hopefully Jenn! I haven't been to Guelph in so long, however I know as soon as I get there it wil feel like I never left. It always feels that way! This weekend I hope to a) Visit the old housemates ie. 920 Edinburgh and Lauren! b) Get bridal shoes?? c) Find bridesmaid shoes?? d) Hit up IKEA with Stef to get her cool stuff. and e) Go out on Saturday night.. if everything works out right.

I'm really looking forward to it! I actually didn't know how much I was looking forward to it until I got to work today..

We had a family from England in the office with one realtor and while they were there both Laura and Stef called! Very random too because I never get calls at work! Keep it up girls! Anything to keep me entertained!

It's Monday.. another work week started..
Over the weekend scott and I got a bit more crossed off our to do wedding list.. We went cake testing with the moms! Mm cake is good. However I was so hungry for real food that I kinda felt a bit sick eating the cake. Next on my list is to find a design that we like for the cake. I kinda want to go with cakewalkers but Mom just found out about a cake baker in Dorchester and with the reception in Dorchester also it would be perfect if we liked that cake!

Registering is finished. Wow I'm glad I can say that. It's actually really hard work, it got me a bit stressed. The first time we went ( Monday night) to home outfitters we got there at 6 and were there until 8:30 (we got sick of it and were STARVING) and still were not done! So we headed back on Thursday (last night). First we checked out The Bay, waited forever to get a scanner to go out and go scan crazy but when we finally got one we could not seem to decide on anything. I was feeling pressured to make a quick decision because we didn't have that much time there so in the end we left the scanner without scanning a single thing. So we headed back over to Home Outfitters got a scanner, and off we went. All we needed was dishes and bed stuff and we already knew what we wanted. And I even convinced Scott to register for these totally cool plates! I somehow ended up registering for a blue bathroom (I don't even really like blue?) but oh well its mixed with brown and cream and who says we are even going to get it! Now I have an obsession with looking at other peoples registries. Mainly people that I know because then it makes it funnier and you get to find out when their wedding date is. No I am not wedding obsessed.. just momentarily dazed.

My new fave website is... www.weddingbee.com Because it's more then people having random conversations about how bored they are at work while ranting about random stuff, its about peoples planning and cool stuff that they find.

On Wednesday night Scott and I attended Alex's confirmation because I was her sponsor. We even got the week right this time! haha don't ask. Anyways I got her a really pretty necklace and she loved it! She mentioned that it will match her grad dress, so thats pretty cool. I hope I get to see pictures of her from grad!

Lunch time! Time to walk to the post office, buy some stamps and mail letters and then eat some lunch and watch the time drag by..

30 min left of work for this week. It seems to me the weeks are just flying past! Scott and I have LESS then 6 months until the big day. Crazy how fast time flys past. Monday we are attempting to Register at Home Outfitters. I say attempting because I feel like this will be a challenge 1. To get Scott to be a grown up for once :) 2. To pick out stuff that we both like. And on the Home Outfitters website it has this calculator which says how many gifts you should register for. It gave me an outrageous number that I feel I may never achieve. Lets just hope for money shall we? So what else on the wedding front have we done since I last posted? Nothing, other then making that registering appointment. And thinking about when we should go cake testing.

In the work world things are going well. I have the office all nice and cleaned up. I went and picked up my sign and so I guess its official. Now people might even walk in and try to ask me questions. Sucks to be them though cause I can't actually answer questions, only give out phone numbers or the website. And it's quite a challenge when people call about a property. don't know who the agent is and don't have the internet. So then I must rack my brain to decide who is the agent for that site, give them a number and hope its right. I think I'm doing well so far, lots of people called about one specific property today so I had it memorized by the end.

Ohh tomorrow Scott and I (and his dad) are going to see a farm! Scott says I get to take pictures of the house.. I hope its nice. And on Sunday we are going to see the BlueJays because we got FREE tickets. They are the first row of the outfield over the pitchers practice area. We can heckle the pitchers and hopefully catch a baseball!!

So... entering the work world was not as exciting as I had once thought. Hopefully it's just because I didn't have internet all week, which limits the work I can do, because no one can send me emails with listings or anything. Also part of my job is updating the website.. kinda hard to do when you don't have the internet!

Scott and I got more crossed off the wedding to-do list this week. Mom, Lauren and I looked at flowers on Thursday evening. We are going with www.designsinbloom.ca She does really nice flowers, custom designs them and it's a very reasonable price. So we are happy with that. Also today Scott and I picked out Tuxes for the guys, and got a great deal, so the guys don't end up throwing out a lot of cash for a tux they will wear for one day. As well we took a look at a few wedding rings! We didn't decide on anything for the rings just wanted to see what is out there. Everything is starting to move right along! What else... We still have a lot more to do for the wedding, like invitations and favours, lots of decisions to make. It's nice that I can think about the wedding and not feel bad for doing it, because I no longer have school! that part of being out of school is nice at least.
K My thoughts are going no where, so I'll leave it at that. And I'll try to update more in the future

I'm done university!! I have been in school for every year of my life since Pre-school! Thats a heck of a lot of school! My brain is feeling funny, I think its happy that it is done with this school thing for a while. However there's no time for a break because I start work bright and early (not sure what time though) on Monday in Orangeville! I'm excited for a change of lifestyle. Also now that I get to move home it means I can get all the big wedding stuff done and out of the way. We need to get flowers still and a cake.. mmm cake testing.

I think my computer may be dying though. It keeps turning off and this blue screen comes up. I think someone is trying to take over my computer. Crazzyy. Anyways packing time must continue because Leah is FINALLY bringing over the car., after ignoring me for the last day and a half.

I love all the livejournal updating! Nice work sisters and Laura!
Saturday mom and I went to Toronto to get lace! We found some we liked at one store and I could not decide which I liked better, so we kept looking and finally found a really nice store, and found lace that was perfect. The bolt of fabric even had a dress that I had tried on pinned on to it. Is that fate or what. So we ended up spending lots of money at that store on lace and basically all the fabric we needed for my dress, and we got fabric for moms as well. On the way home we stopped in at IKEA but didn't find anything we liked, it was way too busy in there! We then travelled to Guelph to the mall and bought some nice work clothes there. It felt weird buying work clothes, because normally I just wear the oldest ugliest clothes I have to work! Guess that means I am growing up eh? Finally after a long day of shopping we headed to my Guelph home to bring a bunch of my stuff home, cat included. Chase sat on my lap (while I was driving) the whole way home. Hes a cutie.

Sunday was Easter, we went to church, where we realized it was Mariam's birthday. So we sang happy birthday to her. And i did over heads and there were so many to put up! After church we went to Omas for brunch. So yummy and lots of fun talking wedding, as Leah reported. We went home after that, played Wii. I suck at playing it, apparently it is not my thing. Oma and Opa's for dinner was lots of fun, which Leah also reported. And that was my Easter weekend. Scott and I are going to have so much trouble coordinating holidays. I am not looking forward to that.

Yesterday I hung out in Thorndale all day, and did nothing. Ate too much chocolate and felt sick basically all day. Today I hope to get some studying done for my ONLY exam on Thursday morning!!

I suck at updating, but everyone does these days! Whats wrong with us all? This was a way to keep track of what we are doing and not that no one is updating does that mean that no one is doing anything??

Its the LAST WEEK of classes in my university career! How exciting is that? Plus I am done all the projects that are due this week, and yes it is only monday. I'm not sure how I will get through this week but I sure am excited for the weekend to come. Mom and I are going shopping in Toronto on Saturday to get business clothes for me for work, and to find lace for my dress! This is the lace I am currently in love with. Hopefully we can find a similar one!

So pretty right? Yea I'm in love with lace, I'll admit it.

Anyways.. this week will be full of me procrastinating dreaming of being done school, but really, I am basically done!! I can't believe how fast 4 years flys by.
